Born in 1961, and is living at Voksen Skog in Oslo. "Skog" means forest. I have the large forest surrounding Oslo outside my door.
Education and work: "Sivilingenior" (not unlike the American Masters
Degree) from The Norwegian Institute of Technology in Power Electronics,
and some knowledge of Economics acquired at The Norwegian Scool of
Economics and Business Administration - Extention Dept. in Oslo. I worked with Kvaerner Engineering as, later renamed Kvaerner Oil & Gas for 12 years. The work here gave me a lot of interesting experiences working with engineering, construction at yards, commissioning and offshore.
Presently working at Siemens international Oil and Gas dept. Major tasks are design, follow-up of manufacture and installation/commissioning of electrical and automation equipment for offshore oil-installations all over the world.
Some interests: Photography - some film slides, but going more and more digital. Chemicals and darkroom is history for me now. Music - only as a listener. I prefer classical
music, but enjoy others too. Electronics and computing.
Former active member of an amateur computer club (Dataamatørforeningen), now closed down. I do
also enjoy travelling, sailing, outdoor life and golf. In 1998 I started scuba-diving, and this is now one of my major interests.
